When It’s Time To Do A Website Update or Audit
Your Website is your #1 marketing tool. It needs to accurately reflect what you do and/or sell. If you already have a website, maybe it did this when it launched. But how long ago was that? How has your business, products, services and or audience changed since then?
A business naturally evolves, and should your website.
Here are 3 signs it’s time for a site update or rebrand:
1. Your products or services have changed.
Your site isn’t up-to-date with your business and what you do everyday. Have you expanded your services? Have you found a specific niche? Maybe you’ve released new product line.
2. Your target market has changed.
Your site needs to reflect their evolving values and interests. The economy changes. Markets fluctuate. Trends die and trends are born. Your site may be marketing to an audience that no longer exists. Or maybe you’ve discovered a new audience?
3. Your sales have plateaued.
Experiencing a lull in conversions and new or even repeat sales means it’s time to take a deep look at your site (and any other marketing tools you may use). Often conducting a website audit can provide insights that support the plateau. Once you have this knowledge, you can (or we can!) develop a plan for making the proper adjustments.Things a website audit might look at:
- site architecture and navigation
- technical building blocks
- backlinks
- internal links
- content and how it’s performing
- mobile responsiveness
- user experience
- accessibility
If you think you’re ready, we can start small, tackling the biggest challenges you’re facing first. Or we can dive in and conduct a full site audit.
